eFormic was founded in 2007 by Moriz Vohrer. At the time the company was called ForestSolutions and focused on the development of web-software to increase the sustainability of climate forestation projects. In 2008, Pieter van Midwoud became a partner and widened the company view on markets to include others such as fair trade and organic food.

Moriz Vohrer is German and his past experience includes working together with the Nobel Prize laureate Wangari Mathaai and for the company global-woods on worldwide climate forestation projects. He graduated in 2006 from the Ecole Nationale des Eaux et Forêsts in Nancy France with a French-German double Diploma.

Pieter van Midwoud is Dutch, and has worked for the Dutch Government doing research on credible certification systems. He also worked for the UN and the Swiss UBS bank.
Mission
eFormic wants to aid in the more efficient and sustainable use of our natural resources. Our mission is to contribute to environmental and social sustainability, particularly in third world countries, by creating innovative tools which make sustainable products more attractive.
